Alana Gunn is a Northern Rivers, NSW-based artist and creative who specializes in abstract expressionism. Self-taught, she developed her craft through years of working in graphic and textile design, inspired by her father's career as a plasterer.
Her early works are a blend of clay plaster, earth pigments, sand, and acrylics, creating an earthy, textural, and organic feel to her pieces. Recently, she has turned her attention to canvas works, which she creates in her backyard studio.
Alana's work has successfully exhibited at Newrybar Merchants in 2021, and she has gained a following of art lovers and collectors who enjoy her unique style and approach. She continues to experiment with new materials and techniques, pushing the boundaries of what it means to be an abstract expressionist artist.
